There is a direct relationship between the way we create and maintain our physical environment and the likelihood that crime will take place there.

These interactive workshops will help you better understand that relationship and guide you in the use of certain crime prevention strategies in dealing with new or existing facilities and developments.

All courses are designed to meet the particular needs of your organization and are taught as participative workshops. Students will leave the class fully prepared to apply these safety and crime prevention strategies immediately upon return to work.

About the Instructors
 
  • Mike Wells is the Training Director for Justice & Security Strategies. He retired as a Lieutenant after a 30-year career with the Concord (CA) Police Department. He has implemented environmental design principles and provided crime prevention and crime deterrence strategy training to numerous local governments throughout California for over 12 years.   • Russ Norris is a Sergeant with the Concord (CA) Police Department where he has served for 17 years. He has implemented environmental design principles and crime prevention strategies within the Department and provided training for over seven years to numerous organizations throughout California.
