Ms. Corina Putt is a Research Associate at Justice & Security Strategies, Inc., who specializes in crime mapping and analysis with substantial expertise in ArcView, ArcGIS, Analyst Notebook, CrimeStat and other programs.
As Research Associate, Ms. Putt assists the Gang Strike Force of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office by using intelligence-led policing techniques. Working with numerous law enforcement agencies in the county, she has assisted in the identification of gang turf/territories and the development of GangStat, a computer system for gang detectives and state attorneys. She has created and provided all participating agencies with as much information and intelligence as legally possible under Florida Statute Chapter 874.
Ms. Putt is the Research Associate for the Mapping Research Project, a multi-year contract funded through the Children’s Trust of Miami-Dade County. Ms. Putt create maps, analyzes data, and conducts systematic social observations in hot spot neighborhoods in the County.
She holds undergraduate degrees in Family Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland College Park. Ms. Putt was profiled in the University’s Family Studies “Alumni Spotlight”. She served as interim Program Vice President of the American Association of University Women in Maryland.
